I took a shower this morning with my mom.  Did I mention I like water?  I have heard most cats don't, but I'm different.  Got through the day without my Joe.  Missing him.  I like to walk around the house and make deep, guttaral noises that are like fingernails on a chalkboard to my mom.  She doesn't like it.  Oh, well....

So, I had a bad night last night.  Kept my mom up.  Yelled at her for several hours.  I'm better now.  My mom threatened to medicate me.  I don't like winter.  I am a summer cat.  I like water, by the way.  Most cats don't.  I like to take baths, play in the bathtub, take showers, lay in the bathroom sink and drink of the kitchen faucet.  I just don't like snow.

Oops, it's been point out to me that Fred the cat was a girl.  My bad.  She died a long time ago.  I can't remember everything.
So, maybe you're wondering how I got my name.  My mom is a HUGE fan of Sting, the rock star.  She could have named me  Gordon Sumner, but that just wouldn't be right.  She went to a Sting concert one time and professed her love to Sting and told him, in front of EVERYBODY, that she loved him and named her cat after him.  I was humiliated when I heard the story.  Imagine how poor Joe felt.  Oh, well.....So, when I was younger I would spend a lot of time outside.  I was a good mouser, but I have since retired.  Now my sister Callie, has taken over.  My days are spent eating, looking for sun to lay in.  Usually in the house.  I go outside, but not as often as I used to.  My eyes aren't as good as they used to be.  Frankly, I need glasses.  And a hearing aide.  But, considering my age, it isn't THAT bad.  Maybe not a hearing aide.  On second thought, I don't have to hear my mom singing anymore.  Wow!  I am a happy cat, most of the time. When I get fed on time, have fresh water.  Joe to snuggle with.
